The Meetings Committee plans and conducts our regular weekly meetings by contacting and coordinating the speakers who make our gatherings interesting and attractive to members and guests. Four Rotarians are each responsible for three months of the year. We expect the rest of the Club to help the committee with contacting and coordinating speakers.
How it works:
1. Find your name and duty months below.
2. Get busy organizing your meetings at least one month ahead.
3. Try to get others in the club to help you so the assignment doesn't become a burden.| July, November, March | August, December, April | September, January, May | October, February, June |
| Terry Donohue | Susan McCoy | Willis Rudy | John Stevenson |
1. Plan the month's activities.
2. Recruit and
assign speakers for each meeting except special events (e.g., Youth Impact,
Music Night, Golf Day, Club Assemblies). Remember to allow for Classification
talks by new members.
3. Contact the Spoke Editor and Club Service chair at least the month before so that the Spoke
and the website can be updated.
4. Find out
what presentation aids your speaker needs: laptop, projector, screen,
white board, ... and contact the Club Service Chair to coordinate these.
5. Appoint someone to
introduce and thank the speaker. Make sure the RI donation card of
appreciation is made out.
6. Help the Sergeant at Arms set up the
room and run the
welcome desk. Flags, banners, bell, gavel, attendance book, cash float, name badges,
raffle tickets, etc. should be set out before members arrive.
