Scotch Nosing - 2015

Our Eighth Annual Scotch Nosing fundraiser held at the Lambton Golf And Country club had a record turnout this year - there was even a waiting list for tickets! With the haggis piped in by John Cameron, and ceremonies well hosted by Ed Patrick, participants got in touch with their Scottish roots, even if they weren’t Scottish.

An exquisitely presented five course dinner was paired with five fine scotches:
  • Aberlour Single Malt,
  • Jura Superstition,
  • Bunnhabhain,
  • Longrow  Peated,
  • and Isle of Arran.

John Stevenson designed a collector’s item placemat showing details of the regions of  Scotland represented by the Scotch Nosing. Bruce Gillies was an outstanding MC, relaxed, eloquent in his explanations of Rotary and our club in particular, efficient in keeping the evening on time and generous in his praise of Lambton staff and RCTW's scotch nosing committee. Thanks to a team of hardworking volunteers and ticket sellers, especially Mark Dawber. It was only fitting that Mark was the winner of the Raffle Draw of Maple Leaf tickets.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to helping community and international charitable causes including aid to disadvantaged kids at risk in Etobicoke.
